Google has recently released a new update, as of October 2023, which allows businesses to provide links to their social media pages for easy access, right on their Google Business Profile. This process is very simple to add and allows you to share quick links to Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, X (formerly known as Twitter), Pinterest and TikTok.
Adding these social media profiles to your Google Business Profile can help enhance your online presence and make it easier for customers to connect with your business across various platforms. Here’s a simple step-by-step guide on how to add your social media profile links to your Google Business Profile:
1. Sign into your Google Business Account
First off, start by logging into the Google account associated with your Google Business Profile. Then navigate to the search bar and search your business name. This will then bring you right to your Google Business Profile and will allow you to edit and make changes.
Alternatively, once you are logged in with the correct Google account, you can click the 9-dots in the upper right-hand corner of your browser, and click the ‘Business Profile Manager’ option to get to your profile.
2. Navigate to Edit Profile
Once located in your Google Business Profile, click the Edit Profile icon, located in the top left corner of the profile menu to be brought to the profile editor.
3. Locate Social Profiles Section
After clicking Edit Profile, scroll down to the Contact section where you see the Social profiles segment. This should be the last option in the contact section.
4. Click + Add Social Profiles
Once you have located the social profiles section you will be able to add in links to connect to your different social media profiles. Click the + Add social profile button to get started.
5. Choose Social Media Platforms
Now you are able to choose the social media platforms you would like to link to your Google Business Profile. In the drop-down menu choose one of the available social media platforms to start. Then grab the link to your corresponding social media account and paste it into the box labeled web address.

6. Save and Finish
Once you have added all the social media account links that you would like to, make sure to click the Save button to add them to your profile. Once saved your edits may go into review, this is a short waiting time that typically takes around 10 minutes before the update will be available on your profile.
Don’t forget you are able to go in at any time to add or remove these profiles. To remove, simply click the trash can icon next to the social media link and it will be taken down from your profile.
And that’s it! Now all your social media profiles are available all in one easy place where anyone who visits your Google Business Profile will be able to access them. This update will help potential customers find your business on various online platforms and stay connected with your updates and promotions.
Once added your social media profiles will show up at the bottom of your Google Business Profile below the update section.
