What is your position at Asterisk Marketing?
I am an Account Manager with Asterisk Marketing
What does your day-to-day look like?
The majority of my day is spent communicating with clients and providing updates on their accounts, answering any questions they may have, and resolving any problems that arise. I also do a lot of back and forth communicating with other members of our team when discussing various aspects of client accounts. Onboarding new clients and helping them to navigate their new accounts and explaining to them how everything works is also an exciting responsibility. My days are never exactly the same, but that’s what makes it enjoyable!
Are you an early bird or a night owl?
Night-owl for sure!
What is the perfect way to start your day?
An extra few minutes in bed cuddling with my two dogs
If you could only have three apps on your smartphone, which would you pick?
Hmm.. a tough question. I think the three apps I would really need are much different than the ones I use the most often day to day. Need to keep: Apple Music, WhatsApp and Google.. does that count?
Best vacation you’ve been to?
My best friend and I did a week-long road trip in Iceland a few years ago. We drove a big loop around the country and packed so much into our days. I have so many amazing stories and memories from that trip. Some of the highlights were visiting the hot springs at Blue Lagoon, going whale watching, and the hundreds of waterfalls we saw! Such an amazing trip.
What is one thing most people don’t know about you?
I have an irrational fear of fish. Swimming with them to be more specific. No idea when this started, or why. I am totally fine looking at them in an aquarium but I can’t be in the water with them. I am okay with swimming in a lake because the water is usually murky so I can’t see that the fish are there (doesn’t make sense, I know). But in the ocean (even though the fish are much more beautiful) I will run in quickly to cool off and then it’s right back out. Never invite me snorkelling!
Why do you like working at Asterisk Marketing?
I really enjoy the work environment and flexibility that comes with the job. The team is great and very easy to get along with. It’s also nice that we try to make an effort to continue building our relationships outside of the office with afternoon drinks or summer BBQs! Having the ability to work from home or from the office is very convenient, the casual dress code is also a huge plus for me too. I also really enjoy that no day is exactly the same, it helps to keep me on my toes and engaged!
